About Val
Valerie is a traveling vision teacher who loves her job because she gets to help kids. She visits students at their schools, so she’s on the road a lot. Val enjoys baking, doing house projects, and recently started gardening. She’s great at refinishing furniture and making old pieces look brand new. Baking for holidays and friends makes her really happy—she’s always trying out new and tasty dessert recipes.
Valerie also loves science fiction, celebrating holidays, and traveling. At Christmas, our home turns into a cozy winter wonderland filled with decorations, the smell of cookies and pies, and gatherings with loved ones. She cared for both of her parents before they passed away, showing how much family means to her. Val is very close with her sister, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She’s warm, funny, and always tries to see the bright side of things. Val has so much love to share with a child.
About Paul
Paul works from home, which gives him a lot of flexibility to be a hands-on dad. He loves cooking and reading books, comics, and manga. He’s really excited about sharing his love of comics with a son or daughter someday. When I’m busy with work during the school year, Paul usually makes dinner while we chat about our day. He enjoys experimenting with new sauces and spices, though that can be tricky for me since I can’t handle anything too spicy!
Paul is also really into movies, which is something we bond over. We often have movie marathons on weekends, and he usually picks what we watch. Back when we were just friends, watching quirky movies together was something that brought us closer. Paul has close relationships with his family and a tight circle of friends. He’s thoughtful, caring, and always shows up for the people he loves. After losing his dad when he was young, Paul is committed to being there for a child in ways his dad couldn’t be.
